Holly and Bryce wanted a relaxed and fun wedding feeling to match their personalities and ensure guests were comfortable. To avoid anything stuffy, the bride aimed for a boho wedding vibe, mixed with some eclectic gypsy elements.

“I had about 10 months to plan our wedding, so I started by checking out a bridal fair in Vancouver, where I got a log of great information and contacts,” says Holly. From there, she says she relied on Pinterest and magazines, cutting out images and saving photos and colours that she liked. She built a mood board to keep her décor purchases in theme and relied on reviews to choose her vendors.

“The most fun I had planning was helping to design my custom wedding dress,” says Holly. She worked with Ciji Greene to design her blush pink tulle gown with floral details.

Whenever she felt overwhelmed during the planning process, she reminded herself that all of their guests are people the couple love and that they would be at the wedding to celebrate and have a good time. “Perfect isn’t important and no one will notice the little things that didn’t work out,” she says. So the day of the wedding, Holly advises couples to take a deep breath and enjoy a minute with your new husband or wife. They day will just fly by, so remember to enjoy it.
